Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings
Tonight in the frozen tundra of TCF Bank stadium we have a big match up for the Chicago Bears. A battle for the NFC north. With Packers loss, a Bears win will put them into the playoffs. Tons of injuries for the Vikings incluing the one and only Brett Favre, but they will fight to the end no mattr what the circumstances in their own state. Must win, playoff implication game here tonight for our Chicago Bears.
Vikings
5-8, The Minnesota Vikings have nothing to lose as they try and play spoiler with third string QB, Joe Webb. Coming off an embarrassing loss to the New York football Giants 21-3, they look for a turn around vs this Chicago Bears team. With tons of injuries it will be a tough battle in the frozen tundra for the Vikings.
Bears
9-4, are one game away from clinching the NFC North title for the first time in 4 years. Jay Cutler and the healthy Chicago Bears will try and rebound from the blowout back home at Soldier Field. No need for motivation here, beat a rival, take the most prestiges division in the NFL. Need to play well tonight.
Keys to the game
- Bears front 4 needs to show up tonight. Get pressure on Joe Webb especially in the snow. Our defense needs to come out hungry, stop the run and play well throughout the game.
- Stop AP, most likely the Brett Favre-less Vikings will run the ball. Need to contain the run and put the ball in the hands of the third string QB.
- No gimmicks on defense, play contain, no throws deep, don't let Joe Webb run over us.
- Jay Cutler, needs to go back to what he was a week before the Patriots. Good decisions, nothing fancy, good reads, and good throws.
- Don't let last week and the loss in the snow get to them. Pats beat down on the Bears in the snow, yes. But, this weather is labeled Bear weather, and Minnesota has been in a dome for 25 years now.
- O-line needs to play well. Matt and Chestnuts need to run over 100 YDS today.
- Bears vs the elements old mother nature wasn't nice to Jay Cutler and the Bears last week. Can they bounce back and play well with the distraction of the weather.
- Jay Cutler vs his conscience Can Jay forget about last week and clinch the division. Last time he tried to clinch a playoff was with the Denver Broncos, all he had to do is win one game. Same situation, different city.
- Adrian Peterson vs Bears D Will AP, be all day like his nick name, or will the Bears front 7 show up.
- Joe Webb vs the hype Vikings are having their 50th anniversary as a franchise. Top 50 Vikings will be in attendance tonight. Will Joe Webb fold under the pressure.
Prediction
Bears understand the importance of this game. Win and have a chance at a super bowl. Vikings are only playing spoiler. Bears will show up this week, and show why they deserve the NFC North corwn and a shot at the Lombardi trophy. Jay, Matt, our defense, and our offensive line will show up tonight at TCF Bank stadium. Prove all the critics wrong.
Pick: 24-10
Bear Down, Chicago Bears! Take the North!
