Dissapointing, that doesn't even describe the feeling I'm feeling at this moment. I feel sick, sad, and angry. We lost. The season that had so many ups and downs is over, and not from the arm of our "franchise" quarterback. Caleb Hanie was in there, Jay was on the sideline, watching. Worst of all we lost to the Packers, THE GREENBAY PACKERS. Packers are now on their way to Dallas, not our Bears. Truly heartbreaking way to end this exciting season.
Now about the game, we played a mediocre game. Jay's passer ratig was 31.8, 6/14, and a pick. He missed Devin on easy throws twice, band just flat out played a bad game. Saying that I do have to point out our offensive line started out very poorly, our WR weren't getting separation and running bad routes. We killed our selves with penalties, negating huge first downs for the Bears.
Our defensive started off a slow and let Aaron get in a rhythm before they really settled in. Greg Jennings burned our corners all day, and Aaron took apart the Tampa 2. I will say the Bears defense did show resislancy. Being down the whole game, and to still show the fight, and the hunger needed. Aaron didn't score in the second half. They played inspired even with the offense being very inconsistent. All credit is due to Brian Urlacher, the anchor of our defense and one of the best line backers in the league, no question about it. The defense gave us a chance to win the game, stopping the Packers on at least four, 3 & 1. Frustrating game, on both sides of the ball.
The real controversy game at the start of the second half when Todd Collins comes into the game for Jay Cutler, saying it's a knee injury. The twittersphere exploded with Bears fans (I was one of them) players, and bloggers explaining their dislike for Jay sitting out on the sideline in the NFC Championship game. I was furious at first, calling for Jay's head, be an ignorant fan hoping are QB would come back and lead us to victory. I knew we had no chance with Todd, but I thought Caleb could maybe create plays with his feet, make a lucky play through the air, and he did to an extent. Making plays with his feet, stepping up in the pocket. Honestly played better than Jay. Executed two drives for touch downs, and almost a third drive for a touch down.
It was a fight,we gave it our all but in the end the better team won. Packers are very balanced, and are the most talented team in the NFL. I had them in the superbowl. We got out coached, and out played on offense. We had a chance to tie, and win the game , but the Hanie pick was inevitable. I'm proud of this team, 11-5, NFC North champs, NFC Championship game. In a season where they were picked to win 6 games. The defense almost willed this team to Dallas, just came up short. I'll be looking forward to next season. With some F/A pick ups, and draft picks I see us improving greatly.
BearDown Bears fans, Beardown.
Shoutouts: All Bears fans, and players thanks for the great season.

The rivalry!
The 182nd meeting between the two of the oldest rivals in the league. The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears meet in one of the most important meetings they'll ever have, at Soldier field on Sunday. Last time these two teams met in the playoffs the Bears had players like Sid Luckman, Bulldog Turner, and Bill Osmanski. The rivalry is so old the last time they met in the playoffs the quarter back was also the punter. Those same two franchises meet in a similar situation just 70 years later.
The stakes are higher than ever. Everyone, and I mean everyone will be watching this game. The media is in a fiasco trying to cover every inch of the game.I saw analyst breaking down Jay's playoff beard, the game is that big! Don't forget the fans either, to them this means more than anything. Failure is not an option at this point. Bragging rights, and did I mention, A CHANCE TO PLAY FOR A SUPERBOWL RING. In all my years as a dedicated Bears fan I've never seen a game as important as this, and that includes the '07' superbowl. We have a chance to win the NFC, play for a superbowl, and best of all SLAP THOSE SILLY ASS PACKERS BACK TO GREEN BAY!
With all that said, I now would like to talk about match ups, gameplan,...etc.
In terms of match ups on the offensive end it starts on the offensive line, our O-Line vs the front 7 of the Packers. Picket, Raji, Jenkins, Matthews, Hawk, Bishop, and Walden vs our O-Line, Tight ends, and running back. Advantage:Packers, but I do think we will play at a very high level. The match ups to watch for our J'Marcus Webb up against one of the best OLB Clay Matthews, as well as our TE's and RB's against CB's coming off the edge. One other match up to watch is Jay vs the secondary of the Packers. Probably the best secondary in the league other than the Jets. Williams, and Woodson are straight ballers. Both pro bowlers this year, and both having a great post season. Will Jay be able to make the throws, read the coverage, make good decisions. I want to see how Mike calls the game knowing the capabilities of those Pro bowl corners.
On the defensive side of the ball it's all about Aaron Rodgers, "Aaron is 52345324 times better than Joe Montana" "Brian Urlacher that the bald guy from New Mexico? Aaron will light that guy up." If I wanted to watch this much (Pardon my french) dick sucking I turn on the Bachelor. Don't get me wrong Aaron is a lighting bolt, and an amazing QB. I see it all the time with "analyst" their memories only go back as far as the last game, they never look [past that. Aaron was amazing in Atlanta, but they forgot about the near loss he had in Philly, the near loss at home he had against Chicago, oh yeah and he didn't score a point against Detroit. Enough about Aaron, lets look at the defense.
My X-Factor in our defense this weekend is none other than Tommie Harris. I feel if he can get enough pressure on Aaron from the inside, and Juilius and Idonje do their thing on the outside, Aaron is in for a long day. Especially with the way Peanut has been playing, LIGHTS OUT! Peanut is up against of the the deepest receiving cores in the league, with pro bowler in Jennings, and Donald Driver. Can our secondary contain these guys? Jennings on Driver (Or jennings) small physical Jennings. Will Chris Harris be 100% and can Major pick up his load? Lot of question in the secondary, but I believe they will come to play. I believe if we want to win this game we need a +1 or 2 in the turnover margin. One more thing, our LB's > Green Bays LB (What's wrong with a little trash talk?)
Last match up, Devin Hester. Will Mike punt to him, will he kick it out? Devin will be the X-Factor throughout the game. We need field position, and with Devin fielding punts I think we will get those extra yards. Bears will get three and outs, its up to Devin to give us the field position needed to win the game. He could possibly take one back, week three showed us how weak the Green bay's special teams are. Eric Weems did too. Devin Hester will be huge in this game, make it or break it in my opinion.
A game for the ages, this will change the dynamic of one of these old franchises. Winner will still have to win the superbowl to become the true champ, but winning this is just one more step on the way to the top. In one of the biggest games of all time, will the Bears show up?

Play or sit?
Play or sit?
Lovie and his Bears are left with some tough decisions tomorrow at Lambeau Field. Play or sit the starters? Bears have the one seed on the line if the Falcons and Saints lose. For the Cheese they have it all to lose, a chance at the playoffs, and a shot at the super bowl. Bears wrapped up the two seed last week with a 4 point win over the Jets, and a Vikings win over the Eagles. So that leaves us with one final question, play or sit?
Upside to staring First off we knock out the most hated team in all of Chicago, the Green Bay Packers, of playoff contention. We also could possibly get the one seed in the NFC with some help from the Panthers, and Buccaneers. Also we could get some inexperience players to experience a playoff-like atmosphere in Lambeau. Screaming, loud fans on third down. Play a game where it's win or go home (for the Packers). We could also sweep the NFC North, one of the best divisions throughout football.
Downside to starting Injuries of course, losing players that could make or break are team, especially in the playoffs (Jay, Matt, Julius, Brian,...etc.). Bears could become lackadaisical and lose focus going into the playoffs. Let a explosive Packers team into the playoffs, and give our rivals a chance to go all the way. Give teams a final look at our team. (Coverages, Plays,...Etc.)
In my opinion, I say we start them. I want our healthy Bears, to stay healthy, but I would absolutely love to knock out the cheese from the playoffs when it's suppose to be "Their year." I want to see how this team stacks up against the Bears, in case we play them in the divisional round.
Beat the Cheese, I can't wait!

**Buccaneers @ Saints: 14-21, Saints knock this young Bucs team out of the playoffs.

Bengals @ Ravens: 14-27, Ravens win big at home over the injured Bengals squad.
Chargers @ Broncos 34-14, Chargers are out, and Tim Tebow is playing well. But no way is Tim and the Broncos beating the superior Chargers.

Cowboys @ Eagles: 17-28, Eagles win despite no Mike Vick, and no reason to play.
Cardinals @ 49ers: 23-24, Niners win after the firing of coach Mike Singletary over their division rival Cardinals.

*Bears @ Packers: 17-24, hard for me to pick this, but Pack win because our motivation and having starters on bench throughout game.
***Rams @ Seahawks: 21-13, Rams win the NFC west with a rookie QB, even in a hostile environment like Qwest Field.
Weekly Grade: 7.5, Playoff implication, but a lot of borign, meaningless games this week, but on the other hand games like Rams @ Seahawks, Bucs @ Saints, and other games like the Bears game. It will be fun to watch.

NFC North week 16 run down
Chicago Bears: 10-4, the 2010 NFC North champions (Clinched division with win @ Minnesota)
vs New York Jets (10-4, 2nd in AFC East)
Greenbay Packers: 8-6, vs the New York Giants ( 9-5, 2nd in NFC East)
Minnesota Vikings: 5-9, Vs the Philidelphia Eagles(10-4, first in the NFC East)
Detroit Lions: 4-10, Vs the Miami Dolhpins( 7-7, 3rd in AFC East)
Giants @ Packers
Huge game on both sides of the ball. If these teams have any hopes of making the post season they have to win this game. Packers coming off that tough loss in New England with back up quarterback Matt Flynn as the starter. He played well, and almost led the Packers to a victory. On the other hand the Giants suffered a very bad loss last week from the hands of Mike Vick and the Eagles. Up 21 with 7 minutes to go the Eagles storm back to tie the game, and on a last second miracle Desean Jackson takes back the punt for a 38-31 victory.
That leaves us here, two teams fighting for a chance at the post season. The status on Aaron Rodgers is that he will most likely play this week against the Giants, even with his two concussions this season. With Aaron back this team has its star back under center which gives the Packers a chance to win this football game. Packers have been plagued by injuries this year. One of the biggest ones was runnung Back Ryan Grant, who brought balance to this Packers offense. Packers who have virtually had no running game all season face up against one of the best penetrating defense's in the league. Aaron with have to throw for at least 250 yds, with a couple of touchdowns to have a shot at winning this game.
Giants don't have many problems really with injuries, a few WR are injured but really no others. The Gants were embarrased last week. Giving up a huge 21 point lead to the division rival Eagles. This Giants team wants another shot at the Eagles, they want to get back to the post season. To get back there Eli is going to have to play his best game, and get the ball out quick. Playing one of the best defenive teams in the league, and sack leader Clay Mathews. Justin Tuck, and that D-line will have to play at their best as well.
Prediction: 31-20 Giants, Giants will get into the post season with a win at Lambeau. Eli will play well enough for this team to win the game, and the defense will do the rest. Let's just hope they don't have to punt the ball.
Vikings @ Eagles:
Huge game for the Bears sake, with a Eagles loss, and a Bears win we could clinch the #2 seed. Too bad that won't happen.
Vikings come off two very embarrasing losses to the Bears, and Giants and will now have to face the red hot Eagles on a national level. Joe Webb is schelduled to start this week, but with Brett Favre on the side line you never know. No word on Adrian Peterson as of yet, but lets hope will be healty enough to play. No AP, no Brett this team has no chance. Especially when the defense has been playing the way it has. Giving up over 200 rushing yds to the Giants, and 40 pts to the Bears, who supposedly have a struggling offense.
Eagles on the other hand, have everything to play for, a chance to secure the NFC East, and a #2 in the playoffs. With the little motivation the Vikings will have vs the Eagles battling for a good seed, I see the Eagles taking this one easily.
Prediction: 34-14 Eagles.
Lions @ Dolhpins:
Another meaningless game in the month of December, but this game will be fun for Lions fans. A chance to get their 5th win, and maybe not finish last in the NFC North for a change. Lions playing the 7-7 Dolphins, who can literally not get a win at home to save their lives.
Lions coming off a win over two winning teams the Packers, and Bucs. Got to feel good about yourself, Drew Stanton playing well, the defense playing well. A lot to like about this Lions team. A team that you can no longer look past. This game is all about pride for the Lions.
Dolphins had a shot at the playoffs, and it was blown last week against the Bills. Dolphins once again will finish withan around .500 record for the third consecutive year, and will miss the post season. To them, after a loss like last weeks game, has no meaning to them. Maybe to coach Soprano who has his job on the line after the season ends, but for the players nothing for them to lose.
Prediction: 24-20 Lions get third straight win.
vs New York Jets (10-4, 2nd in AFC East)
Greenbay Packers: 8-6, vs the New York Giants ( 9-5, 2nd in NFC East)

The Bears playoff chances
Bears recently clinched the NFC North, and now have a chance to secure the two seed if they can win out (Or with Eagles losses) All I've heard all week is how one game the Bears can slip up and get knocked out of the playoffs. One Jay Cutler mistake and the dream is over. I don't understand some of these ESPN so called"analyst." People have seem to forgotten that we win off our defense and special teams, and in the playoffs that is a winning formula. All these analyst can say what they've been saying since last year about Jay Cutler, about his consistency, his football knowledge, and his mechanics. But, they have yet to see how we've even gotten to this point. I would say other than Devin Hester, and all the turnovers we force, Jay Cutler is our biggest asset. We virtually have no running game with our offense line, so that puts all the pressure on Jay’s shoulders. In 3 & 8 situations this year I would say Jay has bailed out this offense delivering accurate, strong throws into tight coverage.
People also have been saying things about our offense line. Yes, our offensive line is one of the worst, if not the worst in the NFL. But, I say they have gelled and are almost playoff ready. The two concerns I have with our offense line are J'marcus Webb, and Olin Kruetz. Webb, being a rookie 7th round draft pick has held his own this season. He is getting better each and every week, but I have concers with him on one on one situations, and setting back are offesne even more than it should be with false starts. Defensive linemen have burned him this year. Olin Kruetz on the other hand is a great leader; Bear for life, but in the past week's all I've heard his name for is "Holding number 57, 5 yard penalty repeat 1st down." He negates the holding penalties, and J'marcus gets a few blocks we could have something special.
Bears do have problems, but people forget that every team has problems. I like the Bears in the playoffs because we have a playoff ready team. We are very solid in every phase of the game. We are 4-3 at home this season, and I blame two of those loes on are offensive line, and somewhat Jay Cutler. On the other hand we're 6-1 on the road this season, and the one loss was that 10 sack catastrophe in the Meadowlands. We can match the speed of the Eagles offense on defense, Falcons have yet to play a defense of our stature, and the Giants played us at home. I don't see why we can't beat these teams in the playoffs; it will be a challenge, but not a challenge to tough for this Chicago Bears team.

Top ten NFL Week 15 story lines
- Matt Flynn almost upsets the super hot Pats on Sunday Night football. Putting up 27 points, and almost winning the game on the final drive.
- Jets rebound after two very bad weeks, and beat the AFC North leading Steelers in the Steel city.
- Lions win first game on the road in 26 weeks. Snapping the longest away-losing record the league has ever seen.
- Devin Hester breaks the NFL all time punt returns for touchdowns record with 14, as the Bears dismantle the Vikings on Monday night.
- Ravens vault themselves over the defending champ Saints in a close one at home
- Brett Favre decides he is up to play a game the day before the game starts. Gets in goes for a 64 yrd drive, and a touchdown.
- Seahawks, Rams, and 49ers all lose badly this week. NFC West champion will probably be 7-9, or 8-8 at best. 4-10 Cardinals are not out of the race yet, pathetic!
- Bears take the NFC North which no one believed they could do behind the arm of Jay Cutler, the head of Mike Martz, the defense of Lovie and Rod, and the special teams with Devin Hester.
- All the young QB's that started this week and performed (Matt Flynn, Joe Webb, John Skelton, Colt McCoy,...etc)
- Desean Jackson and the Eagles score 28 unanswered and pull of the miracle at the Meadowlands part II. A game for the ages, an instant classic!
