Bears/Packers thoughts after game

Dissapointing, that doesn't even describe the feeling I'm feeling at this moment. I feel sick, sad, and angry. We lost. The season that had so many ups and downs is over, and not from the arm of our "franchise" quarterback. Caleb Hanie was in there, Jay was on the sideline, watching. Worst of all we lost to the Packers, THE GREENBAY PACKERS. Packers are now on their way to Dallas, not our Bears. Truly heartbreaking way to end this exciting season.

Now about the game, we played a mediocre game. Jay's passer ratig was 31.8, 6/14, and a pick. He missed Devin on easy throws twice, band just flat out played a bad game. Saying that I do have to point out our offensive line started out very poorly, our WR weren't getting separation and running bad routes. We killed our selves with penalties, negating huge first downs for the Bears.

Our defensive started off a slow and let Aaron get in a rhythm before they really settled in. Greg Jennings burned our corners all day, and Aaron took apart the Tampa 2. I will say the Bears defense did show resislancy. Being down the whole game, and to still show the fight, and the hunger needed. Aaron didn't score in the second half. They played inspired even with the offense being very inconsistent. All credit is due to Brian Urlacher, the anchor of our defense and one of the best line backers in the league, no question about it. The defense gave us a chance to win the game, stopping the Packers on at least four, 3 & 1. Frustrating game, on both sides of the ball.

The real controversy game at the start of the second half when Todd Collins comes into the game for Jay Cutler, saying it's a knee injury. The twittersphere exploded with Bears fans (I was one of them) players, and bloggers explaining their dislike for Jay sitting out on the sideline in the NFC Championship game. I was furious at first, calling for Jay's head, be an ignorant fan hoping are QB would come back and lead us to victory. I knew we had no chance with Todd, but I thought Caleb could maybe create plays with his feet, make a lucky play through the air, and he did to an extent. Making plays with his feet, stepping up in the pocket. Honestly played better than Jay. Executed two drives for touch downs, and almost a third drive for a touch down.

It was a fight,we gave it our all but in the end the better team won. Packers are very balanced, and are the most talented team in the NFL. I had them in the superbowl. We got out coached, and out played on offense. We had a chance to tie, and win the game , but the Hanie pick was inevitable.  I'm proud of this team, 11-5, NFC North champs, NFC Championship game. In a season where they were picked to win 6 games. The defense almost willed this team to Dallas, just came up short. I'll be looking forward to next season. With some F/A pick ups, and draft picks I see us improving greatly.

BearDown Bears fans, Beardown.
Shoutouts: All Bears fans, and players thanks for the great season.
