Play or sit?
Lovie and his Bears are left with some tough decisions tomorrow at Lambeau Field. Play or sit the starters? Bears have the one seed on the line if the Falcons and Saints lose. For the Cheese they have it all to lose, a chance at the playoffs, and a shot at the super bowl. Bears wrapped up the two seed last week with a 4 point win over the Jets, and a Vikings win over the Eagles. So that leaves us with one final question, play or sit?
Upside to staring First off we knock out the most hated team in all of Chicago, the Green Bay Packers, of playoff contention. We also could possibly get the one seed in the NFC with some help from the Panthers, and Buccaneers. Also we could get some inexperience players to experience a playoff-like atmosphere in Lambeau. Screaming, loud fans on third down. Play a game where it's win or go home (for the Packers). We could also sweep the NFC North, one of the best divisions throughout football.
Downside to starting Injuries of course, losing players that could make or break are team, especially in the playoffs (Jay, Matt, Julius, Brian,...etc.). Bears could become lackadaisical and lose focus going into the playoffs. Let a explosive Packers team into the playoffs, and give our rivals a chance to go all the way. Give teams a final look at our team. (Coverages, Plays,...Etc.)
In my opinion, I say we start them. I want our healthy Bears, to stay healthy, but I would absolutely love to knock out the cheese from the playoffs when it's suppose to be "Their year." I want to see how this team stacks up against the Bears, in case we play them in the divisional round.
Beat the Cheese, I can't wait!
